In 2004, my world changed forever…
I was born.
Havana, Cuba, November 28, 2004.
2009-2018
In 2009, my world changed forever…
Yet again…
This time, my Mom and I immigrated from Cuba to Canada, after having secured a permanent residency (during winter, which meant I got to see the snow upon arrival).
She managed to get a job as a researcher in clinical medicine, and I got a 9 year sentence to serve in a nearby school.
2018-2020
In 2018 my world changed forever…. (Okay I’ll stop)
Right before graduating middle school my parents divorced, and my mom and I had to move to Cuba (after graduation of course). While being a researcher she also built an Airbnb business that covered most of our costs, and after the divorce the business had to split and she had to manage a lot of the work hands-on, while also working on research projects between Cuba and Canada.
2020-2022
During COVID I turned my life around. Improved my mental and physical state. Developed self-discipline and embarked on a 2-year and 4-month-long project to self-study math and physics- Inspired by Scott Young’s MIT Challenge (Scott's Mit Challenge).
